As of 5 February 2026, Mexico has reinstated the Electronic Authorization System “Sistema de Autorización Electrónica” (SAE) for Brazilian nationals traveling by air for tourism, business, or transit purposes.

The Lineamientos Generales para la expedición de visas (SEGOB/SRE, DOF 25 July 2025) are the instrument that creates the visa obligation: art. TERCERO provides that only nationals of countries with a visa-suppression agreement or unilateral decision may present themselves without a visa, making the visa the default for everyone else. The SRE régimen consular table operationalizes which nationalities that reaches.

The Consulate of Mexico in the UK reports that since 5 February 2026 Mexico reinstated the Electronic Authorization System (SAE) for Brazilian nationals travelling by air, so Brazilian nationals must obtain this electronic authorization (or a visa) before travel.
