The Immigration Act Cap 14:02, through section 5 and the Immigration (Passports) Order made under it, imposes the requirement that a foreign national's passport bear a Guyanese visa before it is accepted for entry; section 12(1) then fixes the maximum stay an immigration officer may grant. This Act creates the obligation rather than reporting one created elsewhere.
Section 12(1)(a) caps the entry permit for a non-Part B national at not exceeding three months, and the Immigration (Passports) Order clause 2 requires a foreign national's passport to bear a Guyanese visa before it is accepted for entry; the current MFA list confines Bolivia's exemption to diplomatic, service and official passports, so an ordinary Bolivian passport must arrange a visa in advance.
