- The MFA consular list, fetched live on 2026-08-29, still reads "Mali (Besoin d'une AEVM)" four months after the suspension took effect; the list lags bilateral changes and does not undo the suspension recorded by the recipient government. Refutation: the consular list is the ministry's own operative enumeration and was served live in August 2026, so a reader who trusts it over a second-hand report would keep the AEVM requirement. Final position: the suspension is a dated Moroccan decision notified through the Moroccan Embassy in Bamako and recorded by the Malian government's own information service (CIGMA, 24 April 2026), which is the evidence an administrative list cannot contain; the page also still carries a 2018 copyright against a 2025 CNDP registration, so its lag is established rather than assumed.

Ladite décision entre en vigueur à partir du 27 Avril 2026. … avant pour se rendre au Maroc, il fallait obtenir l’AEVM auprès du ministère des Affaires étrangères du Maroc. … Cette suppression réduit les délais administratifs, simplifie les démarches pour les voyageurs et favorise une augmentation du flux touristique et des voyages d’affaires.

Loi n° 02-03 creates the obligation: its article 3 requires every foreigner entering Morocco to hold a travel document 'assorti, le cas échéant, du visa exigible', and its article 9(2) fixes the maximum visitor stay at 90 days. The MFA consular list and the e-visa pages administer exemptions under this law.
The Malian government's own communiqué reports the event that lifted the advance-authorisation requirement: Morocco notified Mali on 23 April 2026 that the AEVM is suspended for all Malian nationals, in force from 27 April 2026. An AEVM was the only thing standing between a Malian national and the visa-exempt entry the MFA list already grants, so the entitlement that applies once it is gone is visa-free.
