Official wording
Nasser Bourita, signed with his Burkinabe counterpart Alpha Bari on October 23, 2020 in Dakhla an agreement on visa exemption for citizens from both countries.
Aevamo’s reading
Loi n°001-2024/ALT of 22 February 2024 fixes the conditions of entry and stay of foreigners and repeals the 1984 ordinance; it is the instrument that creates the visa obligation for foreigners entering Burkina Faso, subject to community rules, international conventions and reciprocity. The e-visa portal describes how that obligation is operated.
The October 2020 agreement abolishes visas for citizens of both countries on a reciprocal basis, so Moroccan holders of ordinary passports entering Burkina Faso do not need an entry visa.

What this answer covers Limits & assumptions
Work and residence rights are separate from this check. This is the entry rule and the length of stay the instrument grants. It is not a decision about you: the officer at the border decides admission, and we do not evaluate the purpose of your trip, your passport's remaining validity, an onward ticket, funds, insurance or health requirements.
