The Directorate General of Immigration & Passports, the Ministry of Interior body responsible for granting and extending visas to foreigners, publishes the operative visa categories on this page: who needs a visa, who may use the e-visa, who may enter without one. It imposes the visa requirement by naming the exempt and e-visa groups rather than merely describing a rule made elsewhere.
The Ministry of Interior's Directorate General of Immigration & Passports states that applicants from 175 countries, plus the two List-B countries India and Somalia, may apply for an e-visa, so these nationals must obtain a visa in advance through the online system before travelling to Pakistan; the tourist visa it issues carries a three-month stay.
